From sessions and food to venue and support, here's everything you need to know about the second annual Smart Regions Conference happening this week downtown Columbus, OH!

THE PROGRAM

To preview sessions, create your own personalized schedule, and connect with other attendees ahead of the event, we invite you to use Sched. You don’t need to download an app, however, the app makes interacting with the digital programming much more user-friendly.

EVENT DETAILS + AGENDA

Thursday, October 25

On Thursday, the event will kick off with a series of welcome speakers, fireside chats, and TED-style speakers before lunchtime sessions and afternoon panels. Join us on Thursday evening for a ‘Matchmaking Happy Hour’ and watch the Smart Infrastructure Challenge project teams give Shark Tank-style pitch presentations competing for more than $50 million in funding and support.

Friday, October 26

On Friday, a public officials forum will get the day jump-started ahead of a hard-hitting lineup of panel sessions and the 2018 Smart Regions Conference Awards luncheon where community members will be recognized, and Smart Infrastructure Challenge winners will be previewed.


ATTENDEES

250+ guests are arriving from all over the country, representing each level of government, business, and academia to spark collaborative thinking around actionable opportunities to solve real problems across our cities and regions.


VENUE AND LOGISTICS

The second annual Smart Regions Conference lands this year at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Columbus which is conveniently located at The Columbus Convention Center. The hotel is now fully booked but other hotels within walking distance have rooms available. The Smart Regions Conference will be located on the first floor near the McKinley and Hayes rooms, and will be clearly marked with signs and support staff for guests upon arrival.

When you arrive at the Hyatt Regency:

  • Walk in the lobby

  • Turn right into the main hallway corridor

  • Check in at the registration booth marked for SRC18

  • Grab a refreshment, browse vendors, and enter the event

  • WiFi and power outlets will be available for guests*

  • Programming on Day 1 and Day 2 will be in the same location

  • All programming will be on site except the VIP reception (invite only)

  • Volunteers will be available throughout the event and at the check-in area to answer questions

  • Speakers, panelists, and challenge teams must check-in at the designated and marked area

THE FOOD

When you registered you had the opportunity to choose vegetarian as a meal preference. If you need to edit or update that option, you have the ability to do so on Eventbrite by updating your registration information. Food and refreshments will be provided Thursday and Friday. The cost was included in ticket registration fees.
