About the Venue
Venture Smarter invites you to build the future with leaders from across the United States at The Second Annual Smart Regions Conference! The annual event will land in Columbus, OH on October 25 and 26 at The Hyatt Regency Downtown. The one and a half day conference will feature Ted-style speakers, power panels, Shark Tank style pitch presentations, thoughtful networking, and much more.
The program will cover topics ranging from connected infrastructure and open data to smart grid and cyber-physical security. The event is unique in that there is a constant focus on multi-jurisdictional coordination and interdisciplinary, interagency cooperation that prioritizes resilience. Day One themes will revolve around Connectivity and Mobility. Day Two themes will revolve around Security and Sustainability.
The Smart Regions Conference is the largest event of its kind in North America and is set to welcome leaders from more than 80 regions across the United States to explore success stories, shared challenges, and opportunities to collaborate to build better places to live, work, and visit.

Smart Infrastructure Challenge Pitch Presentations Preview
Teams competing for access to more than $50 million in project financing and other support resources will present Shark Tank-style pitches to an independent board of judges across four response tracks: Smart and Connected Development, Smarter, Safer Streets, Critical Infrastructure, and Next Generation Infrastructure. Projects are focused on a range of issues from water, air, and energy to digital access, wireless connectivity, and advanced or autonomous transportation. Smart Regions Initiatives Awards Preview
Smart Regions leadership recognizes government, industry, and community members that have dedicated their time and resources to using technology as a tool to improve outcomes for people. As we work together to build smart cities, connected communities, and equitable, thriving regions, we believe it's important to shine a light on those who are helping to move the conversation forward. In addition to the Smart Regions awards, the winners from the Smart Infrastructure Challenge will also be announced.
About the Venue
The event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Columbus (located at 350 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43215). Guests are encouraged to arrive on Wednesday evening and depart on Friday afternoon. Hotel rooms are available ranging from $150-$200 per night; Valet and Garage Parking is available daily and overnight ranging from $3 - $40.
